# Sana

Sana is an AI triage concept for places where the nearest specialist is six hours away. Designed, prototyped and pitched in two hours at a hackathon at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella.

The brief: there are provinces in Argentina where a specialist is a six-hour
drive away, and roughly one doctor per five thousand people across Latin
America. Two hours to design something that helps at the moment when there is
no doctor available and somebody needs an answer now.

Our answer was triage rather than appointments: a chat that asks dynamic,
narrowing questions — closer to Akinator than to a form — and hands back a
confidence-rated orientation plus an explicit escalation path.

We built a web interface prototype for that flow and presented it. We did not
build or validate a working clinical triage system, and calling the prototype
a product would still be the easiest kind of lie to catch.
